Hi,
my name is Cat.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO, and I work with folks navigating life transitions, depression, neurodiversity, relational issues, dissociative experiences, intergenerational trauma, and other existential concerns. I currently provide therapy to individuals both virtually (location-flexible) and in person at my office in Toronto. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, active, curious, and non-judgemental.
Engaging with a network of integrated perspectives is an essential pillar of my practice. I have an MA in Counselling Psychology and I receive regular clinical supervision and consultation from professionals who prioritize anti-oppressive, experiential mentorship. My passion for psychodynamic and humanistic work fuels my ongoing commitment to professional development, and I have completed training in Ego State Therapy, Clinical Hypnosis, Jungian modalities, somatic methods, and psychoanalytic models. In addition to the CRPO, I am a member of the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT) and the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD).
Prior to becoming a therapist, I completed a BA in Buddhist Studies and an MA in Photographic Archiving. For a decade I worked as an archivist and researcher for institutional and personal collections, simultaneously writing and editing for magazines, periodicals, and artist books. Whether sifting through the intergenerational complexity of a neglected archive, or alchemizing an artist’s process into meaningful wordplay and authentic storytelling, much of what I absorbed throughout that time informs my work with clients today.
